This is hempseed that has been heated without water so that oils are released and 'explode' out. It is then cooled and ground up. Grilled hemp should be added just before the start of a session and is best used in depths of less than 8 feet. Top canal anglers use grilled hemp as part of their grounbait mix, especially where roach are the quarry. Added just before the start, it has lots of activity in the water.
