Shimano Aero FA 2500

The new smaller sized Aero 2500 FA is ideal for anglers wanting the benefits of the Aero concept in a smaller, lighter package. Perfect for many styles of fishing, the new 2500 sized Aero balances lighter and shorter rods more effectively than larger reels. This makes it the ideal solution for commercial match and feeder rods, which are shorter than standard rods. The oversized AR-C spool, combined with Aero Wrap II line lay results in smoother more accurate casts, especially with heavier mono, and the large diameter of the spool works more efficiently with the front drag, especially at light settings. The Aero 2500 comes in two retrieve speeds; the standard model has a powerful 5.0:1 ratio that is perfect for playing hard fighting fish, whilst the HG (high gear) model has a quick 6.0:1 ratio that retrieves almost 1 metre of line per handle turn making it more suited to float fishing. Both models come with two spool reducers.
